Is it a revolution?

As you probably already know, Facebook is on of the most interesting social networks today. This is not a standalone website with some friends, photos and private messages. Facebook is a platform for social networking applications. Critics say the platform is not open enough to make a revolution in the way we understand social networking. Enthusiasts say Facebook is the beginning of Web 3.0. Who’s right?
